Butterfly Bling Kaleidoscope
Final design for the wrapper opens on a kaleidoscope of festive holiday candy canes, bows, and nods to Mariah with lambs and butterflies.
The reveal shows Mariah in a 2018 holiday special outfit, making a snow butterfly, surrounded by diamonds and sparkles.
Mariah forever
The most important exploration for this project was character design. Mariah has been an icon in the public eye for over 30 years. What version of her would we be depicting? I explored a variety of curves and outfits from her yearly holiday specials which we passed onto Mariah’s team for approval.
Concept Development
How to unveil the perfect winter wonderland in under 10 seconds. The team came to me with a few vignettes to develop. I took inspiration from candy colored cartoons with exaggerated flat shapes like the original Bewitched intro and Power Puff Girls.
