For this project I worked with a team at BUCK to create an animated gift wrapper for Venmo with a very special main character. Mariah Carey, the queen of holiday cheer, needed a design that embodied her wintry glam. The visual brief’s main objective was to make it sparkle.
In 2020 I used my online platform to create a local event calendar that highlighted action happening in Baltimore and collected it in a weekly post along with free downloadable posters.
As an on-call freelance designer for BarkBox (now Bark), I was asked to create everything from hang tags and product packaging, to in-store displays seen at Target. I had so most fun doing visual development and design for the Party Animal line, creating patterns, colors, and shapes used throughout the products.
BarkBox (now Bark) loves to push packaging in fun ways.
In this autumnal box I created a treat bag that had layered printing and transparency to give depth to the depicted environment and flat lettering. I also designed a treat box that looked like an oven with a sliced pie on top.
My husband Andy is a ceramicist and a member of the Potter’s Guild here in Baltimore. I dabble in ceramics, and contribute to this awesome community in creative work.
I adapted the original logo to be more playful and wonky reflecting the DIY, open atmosphere of the guild. I also create posters for local shows, sales, and events that the guild throws that reflect this fun, vibrant vibe.
I’ve done a few wedding invitations for friends. They all reflect the couple’s sense of self and reflect a wide range of styles. This invitation, for two very close friends is my favorite so far.
As individuals, these friends are understated and elegant with some endearing rough edges. As a couple they are welcoming and warm, always ready to wrap you up in a blanket and make tea.
I set out to reflect that in the branding and visuals for this event, with nods to the scenic mountain venue in Durango, Colorado.
Retail packaging and identity design for a valentines themed line of toys. Playful shapes, halftones, doodle accents, and handlettering reminiscent of grade school valentines define this project. I Chews You branding is seen in Target, CVS, Walmart, and Krogers.
A NYC themed holiday design scaled to fit three box sizes. Instead of centering a specific holiday, the design focused on dogs having fun in the snow, and a wintry cityscape.
